This terms of service covers classified advertising for the pethobbyist.com Rescue Network.

We believe these rules are clear, but if you have questions, please ask us before posting. Contact the Director of Community Services if you have a question.

PetHobbyist Rescue Network Classified Ad Posting Rules and Terms of Service

• The Rescue Network Classifieds are available only to two groups of users: Qualified organizations who have been approved for the PetHobbyist.com Rescue/Shelter Locator, and regular registered users of our site who wish to place ads for individual animals needing new homes. Ads placed by individuals will be pre-screened by our staff before being published, and are subject to our Code of Ethics, just as rescue group/shelter listings are.

  Registration for our shelter/rescue group locator is free. To apply for our Rescue Network shelter/rescue group locator program please go to http://pethobbyist.com/adoption.

• Only ads for animals for adoption may be listed at this time. We have a free banner program for rescue groups, so if you need to advertise a fundraising event or other program, please contact our Organizations Editor, using our Contact Page. Rescue transport needs may be publicized on our Forums in the appropriate area.

• Ads that appear to be sales ads, rather than genuine adoption ads, will be removed. This determination will be made at the sole discrection of pethobbyist.com staff.

• Rescue groups and shelters, and anyone else posting an ad on the Rescue Network Classifieds, are responsible for their own ads, and any and all complaints or legal issues arising from them.

• Ads posted to the incorrect classified site or section will be move or removed at the sole discretion of pethobbyist.com.

• Photo Galleries - Rescue network account holders may use their photo gallery space to upload images used in their classified ads. Please only use the member gallery for this purpose; do not upload dogs for adoption images to the Dogs libraries, for example. If you need additional storage space for photos, please contact the Director of Community Services. Any ads placed in the photo galleries other than a member gallery that include animals for adoption will be moved to the member gallery.

• Broken Images - If an advertisement you post has broken images inside and it is reported to us it will be removed. Please check your ads once posted to verify that your images work, If not, please remove them and try again.

• "Blanket" Ads - There is no one advertisement that can be posted to each and every section of our classifieds. If you have an ad that has 100 animals on it and it's in the dog section, all the animals listed have to be dogs.

• Anyone using pethobbyist , or its other related sites and/or features, to post pornography, profanity, possibly libelous or slanderous, racist, or threatening messages will immediately have their account terminated.

• Autojump Scripts in ads - We do not allow the posting of advertisements with any type of "Autojump" that re-directs users off of our web site automatically or opens another browser window, or any other type of "POP-UP."

• Multiple/consecutive special characters in the text of the ad - The use of multiple/consecutive special characters is banned. This includes the use of !@#$%^&*()_+~?><,.-{}[]\|/ .

• Ads that have no animal for adoption- Your advertisement must feature an animal for adoption. We do not allow ads that just say "come to my web site for details" in the body. While we allow you to post your site URL in the ad, if your ad does not contain the details of the animal(s) for adotpion, it will be removed.

• PetHobbyist reserves the right to change these terms of service with little or no prior notice.

• PetHobbyist reserves the right to suspend, terminate, or cancel any account or refuse service at our discretion.
